The ICPC Chairman, Prof. Bolaji Owasanoye has disclosed during his keynote address at the National Summit on Diminishing Corruption in Abuja that an estimated ₦2.67 billion worth of funds allocated for the school feeding programs have been recovered.
According to him, the funds which were supposed to provide feeding for children who were obviously not in school due to the lockdown were found in personal accounts and investigations are underway.
An additional ₦16 billion was retrieved from the ministry which reportedly made its way to personal accounts and for non-official purposes.
The ICPC Chairman also noted that as many as 78 MDAs in the education sector were found wanting in misappropriation of the funds.
