The Denver Nuggets claimed their first win in the Western Conference Series finals against the Lakers. A thorough perimeter strategy plus aggressive point bagging earned the Nuggets a 114-106 win over the Lakers.
However, the Lakers still lead the series 2-1. The Nuggets have now given themselves a chance to make a potential comeback. Jerami Grant, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray contributed with 20 plus points each.
Monte Morris and Michael Porter JR also lead the Denver Nuggets bench which had 25 points at the end of the game.
Despite the loss, the Los Angeles Lakers were impressive on the night.
Lebron James contributed with 30 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists. Anthony Davis continued his impressive form with 27 points also.
Rajon Rondo, Kyle Kuzma, Alex Caruso, Dwight Howard and Markieff Morris were impressive from the bench as well. They contributed with 29 points compared to the Nuggets bench with 25 points.
Rajon Rondo also set a new record for himself. He surpassed Kobe Bryant in the list for all-time assists made in the playoffs. Rondo is 9th on the list with 1,042 assists while Kobe Bryant is now 10th with 1,040 assists.
Game 4 in the series takes place on Friday the 25th of September 2020. The Los Angeles Lakers need to win two more games to advance while The Denver Nuggets need 3 more games to advance to the finals.
