Spanish Football Federation RFEF on Monday announced the re-election of Luis Rubiales for another four years, unopposed.
In June, former Spanish international and world cup-winning captain, Iker Casillas, withdrew his candidacy citing the issues caused by the global pandemic.
The 43-year-old took over from Angel Maria Villar in May 2018 after he was sacked as a result of the corruption charges against him.
Rubiales who was born in Las Palmas grew from the Valencia and Atletico Madrid youth systems before playing professionally for several lower league sides.
He finished his career in Scotland with Hamilton Academical in 2009.
