As the Federal Government insists that its policy on the Premium Motor Spirit, PMS deregulation has come to stay, some residents in Delta State wants the government to consider reviving the nation’s refineries to cushion the effect of the subsidy removal.
More reactions have continued to trail the new pump price of petrol and electricity tariff hike. Some residents in Warri, Delta State, who spoke to reporters want the government to pay attention to the plight of low-income earners.
While the Federal Government insisted that its decision to deregulate the PMS was made in the best interest of Nigerians, most Deltans are of the opinion that the Buhari-led administration should as well consider reviving the nation’s refineries which will not only create job opportunities but also cushion the effect of the subsidy removal.
