One of the most underrated teams in the bubble, the Denver Nuggets have continued to defy the odds. The Nuggets have set up an encounter for the final of the Western Conference playoffs with the Lakers.
Thanks to an effective game plan which highlighted tight-knit defending and effective ball sharing, the Nuggets suppressed the offence of the Clippers. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were only able to muster 24 points.
Nikola Jokic put in an impressive defensive shift as he registered 22 rebounds, 13 assists and 16 points. Jamal Murray was the highest-scoring player on the court as he put in 40 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds.
The Clippers bench tried to save the game as they registered 41 points but the Nuggets were just too strong to be toppled.
The Eastern Conference finals kicked off with an entertaining encounter between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat. Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic led the Heat to a 117-114 over the Celtics.
Despite the efforts of Jaylen Brown, Jayson Tatum and Kemba Walker, the Heat managed to seal the win. The Celtics Marcus Smart also had a great individual game as he put in 26 points.
Game 1 of the Western Conference final between the Denver Nuggets and Los Angeles Lakers will now take place on the 19th of September while the Celtics and Heat continue their series on the 18th.
