Buratai: It'll take 20 years to rid Nigeria of Boko Haram

Major Gen. Tukur Buratai has relayed a near-death experience he had at the Ayedire Local Government Area of Osun State yesterday.

According to the sitting Chief of Army Staff, he was once ambushed by Boko Haram Insurgents in the North-East and is only alive today because Lamidi Adeosun saved him at the time.

He described Adeosun, the current Chief of Training and Operations as a competent officer and his promotion well deserving. Read his statements below

“When I had the first ambush, he was with me in the vehicle, by my side. It happened on the 18th of September, 2015, and I can see the courage he exhibited.

“And he was able to mobilise the troop to counter the bandits, the criminals, the terrorists out of the way. So, his elevation is not new to me. He deserves it.
