Cross River State Government has said it will continue to cater to over 4,000 children living in the refugee camp in Ogoja.
Governor Ben Ayade gave the assurances when he visited the camp where palliatives were distributed to the refugees
Ayade who was represented by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Betta Edu, said the welfare of the children in the camp is paramount to the State government.
He assured that the State will continue to provide for them and meet their health challenges.
The Governor had given similar assurance during a recent visit of Cameroon Government delegation to the State.
Over 30,000 refugees from Cameroon are currently taking asylum in Cross-State with over 4,000 of them children; putting pressure on maternal and child health services.
