AC Milan has completed a great coup as they snapped up Sandro Tonali from bitter rivals Inter Milan. Tonali joins the Rossoneri on a loan deal with an option for Milan to sign him on a permanent deal at the end of the 2020/21 season.
Shortly before the end of the 2019/20 Serie A season, Inter had agreed on personal terms with Tonali but a deal was not agreed with Brescia. Tonali now joins his boyhood club who he has always supported.
Tonali joins an AC Milan team who is currently in a process of rebirth. They sparked to life in the second half of the season and secured a Europa League qualifying spot.
The 20-year old’s impressive performances over the last two seasons have earned him comparisons to Andrea Pirlo. He will now follow in the footsteps of his idol and Italian football legend as he dawns the red and black of AC Milan.
