Newcastle United have made their first marquee signing of the 2020 transfer window. The Magpies have acquired the services of former AFC Bournemouth striker, Calum Wilson. The England International cost Newcastle £20 million.
The 28-year-old put pen to paper on a 4-year deal to remain at St. James Park. Rumour has it that Wilson would be given the number 9 jersey which was worn by club legend Alan Shearer.
Wilson has a decent goal scoring record in the Premier League.
Since his debut in the EPL during the 2015/16 season, Wilson has registered 41 goals and 16 assists. His impressive performances over the years also earned him an England call up.
Newcastle now has a reliable striker at their disposal.
