Game 2 of the playoff series between the Los Angeles Lakers and Houston Rockets ended in a win for the Lakers. The game ended 117 -109 in favour of the Lakers who have now levelled the tie with each team with a win.
This would be the most interesting playoff encounter so far this season as it features two of the best MVPs in Lebron James and James Harden. Also, both teams have great point guards and forwards in Russel Westbrook and Anthony Davis.
The Lakers were able to bounce back from the defeat in the first game. Their defensive was a whole lot better as they played as a compact team. The team play resulted in Anthony Davis registering 34 points and 10 rebounds.
The compact team play displayed by the Lakers made it difficult for James Harden and his teammates to score as many points as they wished to. However, James Harden was the highest-scoring Rockets player with 27 points and 7 assists to his name.
The playoffs feature a best out of seven series. With both teams currently tied, it seems like they would go all the way to game 7 to determine the victors of the series.
Both Westbrook and Harden are chasing their first NBA titles while Lebron and the Lakers would want to honour the death of Kobe Bryant by clinching the 17th NBA title for the Lakers franchise.
