Ousted Mali President, Ibrahim Boubacar Keita is on his way to the United Arab Emirates to address his personal health on a 10 – 15-day trip.
Keita reportedly suffered a stroke shortly after he forcefully resigned after the Military arrested him.

Complaints such as mismanagement of the economy and an increasingly insecure security situation in tandem with community-based violence were some of the grievances for the coup.
Several other African Countries within the ECOWAS have tried to restore peace in the region. Efforts are still being made to ensure that peace is restored to the region.
