Nigerian Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has called on two multi-national oil companies, Total E&P and Shell Petroleum Nigeria to produce the owner of Valiant Energy West Africa, who has remained evasive to various regulatory authorities in the country, to fulfill her constitutional obligations to some sacked workers in its employment.
The Union has picketed the organisation’s facilities in Lagos and Port Harcourt, yet despite the recalcitrant attitude of the owner the two multi-national oil companies continue to patronise the service company, Valiant Energy West Africa.
The NUPENG warned that the general public should not blame it for any industrial action it deems fit to take.
