After three months of negotiations, Bayer Leverkusen and Chelsea have finally agreed on a fee for the sale of Kai Havertz. The deal is set to cost Chelsea £71 million.

Havertz is known as the future of German football and is set to light up the English Premier League. In 118 Bundesliga appearances for Bayer Leverkusen, the 21-year-old has recorded 36 goals and 25 assists.

The big teams in Europe were interested in chasing the left-footed playmaker but Chelsea was intentional as they made several bids between June and August.

Chelsea has been ruthless in this transfer window as they have signed 5 players so far who have joined Hakim Ziyech who was signed in January 2020.

Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva, Malang Sarr, and Xavier Mbuyamba will be joined by Havertz. Also, it has been reported that French Centre back Malang Sarr has been offered by Chelsea as part of the deal to sign Havertz.

That is subject to confirmation. However, the final details of the deal would be made known soon.
