Akinwumi Adesina extends gratitude to all and sundry on Inauguration Ceremony

The outgoing and incoming president of the AfDB, Akinwumi Adesina has during his inauguration speech extended his gratitude to dignitaries across the African continent.

From President Muhammadu Buhari from the home front to President Alassane Outtara of Cote d’ Ivoire and every Head of State and Government, his wife whom he extolled and most importantly sincere gratitude to God Almighty.

Today, Adesina will commence the second tenure of his role as President of the African Development Bank Group. He was elected in a historic 100% of all votes and is now the first to be re-elected for the position in the history of the Bank.

Adesina took the opportunity to share that since he was voted by all he would serve all. Adesina was able perform outstandingly in various categories such as providing 18 million people with electricity, improved agricultural technologies for 141 million people, 15 million people with access to finance from private investments and 60 million individuals provided with access to water and Sanitation.

All part of a 10-year-Strategy to fulfil the High5s project of the Bank which include Light up and Power Africa; Feed Africa; Industrialize Africa; Integrate Africa, and Improve the Quality of Life of the people of Africa)
