Almost a thousand African migrants have been locked in terrible conditions in Saudi Arabia as part of a drive to stop the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
Many of them were seen emanciated and crippled all lying shirtless in small rooms with barred windows and tightly packed in rows.
Several of them displayed scars on their backs, evidence of maltreatment with electric cords in the past as they continue to struggle for food and water to survive.
An Ethiopian, Abebe claimed they were beaten by guards who hurl racial abuse at them. He mentioned that he was considering taking his life.
Many of the immigrants who come from the Horn of Africa have been stuck in the Gulf since the pandemic started, also the Saudization process.
