The COVID-19 recovery rate in Oyo State has reached 62.05 per cent, while the fatality rate stands at 1.2 per cent.
This is contained in data obtained from the microsite of the Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC.
The health agency, in its daily COVID-19 situation report published on Friday, announced 99 new recoveries, bringing the total number of recovered and discharged patients in the state to 1,918.
As of Friday, the total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the state stands at 3,091 following 31 new Coronavirus infections announced on Thursday night.
According to the NCDC data, the total number of active cases of Coronavirus in the state is 1,136.
Gov. Seyi Makinde, in a post on his official Twitter account, said that the newly recorded 31 infections were from 10 local government areas of the state.
“The cases are from Ibadan North (7); Ido (6); Akinyele (4); Lagelu (3); Egbeda (3); Ibadan North West (3); Oluyole (2); Iseyin (1); Ibarapa Central (1) and Ibadan South-West (1).
“Please call the Emergency Operations Centre on 08095394000 | 08095863000 | 08078288999 | 08078288800 if you have any COVID-19 symptoms: cough, fever, tiredness, body ache, loss of smell/taste and shortness of breath,” Makinde tweeted.
