Lionel Messi on a suspicious move to Manchester City?

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has said he has no interest in signing Barcelona forward Lionel Messi but says the Argentine would be a great addition to the Premier League. Messi’s future has been surrounded by speculation, after breaking the internet asking to leave Barcelona.

Messi has been heavily linked with a reunion with former Pep Guardiola at Manchester. City, who were Liverpool’s closest rivals in the top flight last season and their predecessors as title-holders, have remained on the raider as a possible destination for the 33-year-old.

It was earlier reported that team regulars Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez and Gabriel Jesus could be added in a deal to sign the six ballon d’Or winner, but City has denied the rumours. Liverpool will kick off the 2020/21 season with the community shield against FA Cup winners, Arsenal.
