The Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC, Yakubu Pam, has called on Governors of the five South-Eastern states of the country, to unite against insecurity in the Zone.

The Executive Secretary was speaking in Umuahia, the Abia State Capital, during a meeting with the leadership of the NCPC from the five South Eastern states of the federation.

Pam believes that if youths are positively engaged, the rate of crime will drastically reduce in the country.

On pilgrimage, the Executive Secretary charged the state leaders of the Commission to ensure that those who travel from their states are people of good character, who will not damage the image of the country, at the holy land.

While explaining that the Federal Government is currently subsidizing the cost of pilgrimage for Nigerians, Pam charged state governors and other public-spirited individuals to sponsor more Christians to the holy land.
