Leicester City’s striker, Jamie Vardy has signed a new contract with the foxes, till 2023. His new deal contains a pay rise and a year’s extension to his current contract, which was due to expire in two years.
Vardy scored 23 Premier League goals last season to claim the golden boot, beating Arsenal’s Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Manchester city’s Raheem Sterling and Southampton’s Danny Ings, he was a vital part of the team, as Leicester secured a Europa League spot.
The 33-year-old is now Leicester’s fourth-highest goalscorer of all time with 129 goals in 309 appearances. While making a statement on the club’s social media handle, Vardy said the journey with the football club is hard to describe.
He further said while they have accomplished so much together there is still so much more to come, and more to achieve with the team.
