The House of Representatives has tasked the management of Cable NEWS Network service provider Startimes to reverse the hike in its subscription fees.
Though the satellite services provider had blamed the hike to the recent seven-point-five per cent tax increase by the federal government and the high exchange rate of dollar to Naira, the House Adhoc committee says the increase is an extra hardship being imposed with the coronavirus pandemic.
The Chairman of the Committee Honourable Idem Unyime urged the management of Startimes to consider the plight of Nigerians and be humane in its decision.
