Manchester City have announced the signing of Nathan Ake from AFC Bournemouth. The defender joins Pep Guardiola’s team on a five-year deal which runs till June 2025.
The former Chelsea player is a great addition to a Manchester City side which needs reassurance defensively.
Ake is a versatile player who can play on the left side of the defense in a back three or back four. Also, he can be deployed as a defensive midfielder.
Bournemouth did their best to keep Ake for the 2019/20 season.
However, with their recent relegation from the Premier League, they have been desperate to offload players.
Bournemouth sold Ake for £40 million and will receive add-ons when Ake wins trophies with Manchester City.
