AS Roma has announced that Dan Friedkin, US billionaire has signed a deal to purchase the Italian Serie A outfit.
The club said formal contracts with the American Group was signed on Wednesday for a transaction worth 591 million euros, approximately 702 million dollars, with the transaction expected to be done by the of the month.
The club’s current President James Pallotta, in a statement, said the two parties will work cooperatively to ensure that the process is completed in the coming days. He further said American Billionaires had demonstrated their total commitment to finalizing the deal and taking the club to higher grounds.
This will be the first time the Friedkin group will be involved in a major sports club for the which is surrounded by an association of automotive, hospitality, entertainment, golf and adventure companies, which include Imperative Entertainment, described by the Friedkin Group as an innovative entertainment studio based in California.
James Pallotta led a group of U.S. investors who purchased AS Roma in 2012.
