Inter Milan are closing in on a permanent deal to sign Alexis Sanchez from Manchester United. The Red Devils have been desperate to offload the Chilean winger due to his heavy wage bill.
Sanchez joined the Italian outfit in January of 2020 in search of first-team football. He has remained fit and contributed with 4 goals and 9 assists in 29 appearances.
The 31-year old’s current contract with United ends in June 2022 but both clubs have reached an agreement for Sanchez to move on a free transfer.
Personal terms between the player and the club have also been agreed. It is expected that Sanchez will earn £6 million every year as an Inter player.
Playing under Antonio Conte has helped Sanchez to revive his career. The former Arsenal superstar had a tough spell at Manchester United as he struggled for form, with injuries and opportunities.
At Inter, he has received first-team opportunities consistently and has proven his worth.
