One of the summers longest transfer sagas is gradually coming to an end as Manchester United have now been given a deadline to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.

The Red Devils have been linked with a move for the 20-year-old since January but have no commenced negotiations to sign the former Manchester City academy product.

It has been reported that United have had two previous bids of £50 and £60 million rejected in June. Dortmund’s valuation of the winger is £110 but both clubs have now reached an agreement of £108 for the player.

However, Manchester United plan to make payments in instalments. An initial £63 million will be paid this summer then £27 million and £18 million payments will be made over the next two summer transfer windows.

The German club has made it clear to United that payment must be made before the 10th of August, 2020.

Dortmund embarks on their pre-season training camp on the 10th and would want to finalize the deal before then.
Rumour has it that former United flop Memphis Depay would play a key role in Dortmund agreeing to the sale of Sancho.

Dortmund wants the Dutch forward as a replacement for Sancho. The Lyon payer has one year left on his current contract and is yet to reach an agreement on a new deal.
