The Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, has refuted the allegation that members of her management team demand between twenty to thirty percent of contract sums before payment.
The Director, Corporate Affairs, Charles Odili, said one of the reports alleged that a fresh massive fraud has been uncovered at the Commission.
But he said there is no evidence of any fraud at the Commission.
He said the allegation is part of the claims that the NDDC management refuted during their defence at the National Assembly.
Odili said since the challenge was thrown on July 9, no one has come out with proof.
He noted that the Senate report did not adopt the allegation as valid and wondered why any newspaper will report such a baseless claim, four weeks after, without proof.
He said the Commission was also vindicated on issues of the allegation of financial reckness and missing funds of about forty billion Naira
Odili said the NDDC suspects that after the schemings in the past four weeks failed to achieve the purpose of sacking the management and scuttling the work on the forensic audit, the schemers are out again to heat up the polity, but unknown to them, the forensic audit is a project of Mr. President.
