A mother in Katsina kidnapped her daughter and requested two million naira ransom.
Fatimah Bashir, a 22-year-old housewife arranged kidnappers to kidnap her 5-year-old daughter to falsely accuse her husband’s ex-wife.
Fatimah texted her husband demanding the ransom, the Police spokesman, Gambo Isah, confirmed this on Thursday.
The mother had gone to the Police station on July 5, to give a false outcry about her missing daughter and the suspect of her husband’s ex-wife, Isah disclosed.
She went further to disclose the ex-wife threatened to take revenge for her dead daughter who died under her care.
Fatimah took her daughter’s canvas and shoes to the ex-husband’s wife’s house to further implicate her.
After thorough investigation, the 22-year old woman confessed to sending her 40-year-old husband, Bishir Isyaku, the text message requesting the ransom.
Isah disclosed that investigations are on-going.
