A 47-year-old man will face the Federal High Court, Enugu, for allegedly defiling his 14-year-old housemaid, Sandra Chiamaka.
The man was arraigned by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, NAPTIP, on Wednesday.
The 47-year-old man, who has been identified as Chucks Orji, was arraigned on a three-count charge of engaging a minor as a domestic help, defiling a minor, and harbouring a minor for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
The judge, Ibrahim Buba, presided over the case and admitted Orji’s application for bail in the sum of five million naira.
Buba demanded that Orji signed an affidavit swearing he would not delay the trial which would hold on August 21.
Chiamaka who had been in the custody of the NAPTIP has been reunited with her family.
