In a recently published trial, Oxford University’s Jenner Institute and Oxford Vaccine have made new discoveries for a safe, effective and accessible vaccine against the COVID 19 virus.

The scientific journal was published on Monday, July 20. The results indicate no early safety concerns and also, strong immune response in both parts of the immune system.

The study shows that the T cells responds to the virus within 14 after the vaccine is introduced to the system, the responds with 28 days after the vaccine is introduced to the system. The antibodies help to neutralize the virus and prevent it from infecting other cells.

According to professor Pollard, one of the researchers involved in the research, the strongest immune response came from the 10 participants who received two doses of the vaccine. Their strong response indicates that it might be a good strategy for vaccination.
