There was a clash between Endlovini residents in Port Elizabeth and Nkandla residents.
The clampdown started a week ago over unlawful electricity connections. RDP houses in Nkandla use electricity, on the other hand, shacks in the other community are without electricity.
In Nkandla on Sunday, an organizer was shot and badly injured. This was during the ongoing electricity clash over electricity.
Following the shooting of the organizer whose name remains withheld, on Friday, four shacks were burnt down in Endlovini.
As gathered, residents in Endlovini have been unlawfully connecting electricity from neighboring Nkandla on claims that the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality doesn’t provide them with services.
Dissatisfied Nkandla residents sprung to action to disconnect every illegal connection which led to the violence. Both communities threw stones at each other.
The unrest continues in the areas.
