According to Yashen Titus, a community leader in Kaduna state, gunmen reportedly attacked a wedding ceremony in the Kukum Daji community.
Twenty-one people were reportedly killed in the attack and over 30 people were left injured.
According to witnesses, 19 people died at the wedding venue while the remaining two victims passed away at the hospital.
Muhammad Jalige, police spokesman confirmed the attack in the community.
The attack reportedly occurred around 10:35 where heavily armed men began shooting sporadically.
The remaining 30 survivors are being treated at various hospitals.
