Troops kill Boko Haram Commanders, Fighters in Recent Northeast Operation

Operation Lafiya Dole troops have killed commanders and members of the Jihadist terrorist group in the northeast. This was disclosed by the Coordinator, Defence Media Operations.

On Friday, July 17, according to Major General John Enenche, soldiers killed six Boko Haram members who were trying to go back to the Sambisa Forest.  They were shot in the Kolofata community on Cameroon border. 

According to the Enenche, a motorcycle, magazine with 48 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 1 Honda car,  three AK47 rifles, and eight bicycles were retrieved from the terrorist group.

Boko Haram communication intercept disclosed Sayinna one of the group commanders was killed alongside other fighters during the operation.

Army Super Camp in Damasak was killed while other Boko Haram fighters fled.

Enenche made known that the Islamic State’s West Africa Province’s recent and frequent change of leadership is a result of losses inflicted on their fighters with their weapons and equipment retrieved.
