British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has said that fans could be allowed to return to the stadiums in October.

He said pilots will take place from August, but stadium reopening will be subject to COVID-19 guidelines.

While other sports like football, cricket, and elite sports, has resumed behind closed doors, others are yet to return.

The stadium was closed to fans in March after the virus broke out in England and the rest of the world.

In a statement, the Prime Minister said he is happy to move forward with plans to help sports venues reopen.

He further said he recognizes that not all sports team or club has the benefit of commercial venues, as revenues are generated from ticket sales.

He also said stadium capacity will be in stages before full capacity is allowed, as it is a major step in the right direction to the reopening of live sports across the country.

Competitive sports resumed in June for the first time since mid-march, with football competitions returning in mid-June.

More than forty thousand people have died in the UK, with 290,000 confirmed cases.
