Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari, has warned that he would not accept any form of disrespect to the National Assembly.

The President delivered this warning to Ahmad Lawan, the President of the Senate and Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives on Thursday while receiving them at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

This information was disclosed to the public through Garba Shehu, the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity.

The warning from President Buhari stemmed from the disagreement between National Assembly and Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State, Labor and Employment, whereby a shouting match ensued over the proposed 774,000 jobs.

The President reportedly instructed the ministers and all heads departments and agencies to conduct themselves in ways that will not undermine the authority of the National Assembly as an institution.
