The trial against the two policemen behind the murder of 17-year-old Tina Ezekwe has now commenced.
Tina Ezekwe was reportedly shot by two police officers, Theophilus Otobo and Oguntoba Olamigoke, at Iyana Oworo, Lagos, on Friday, May 29, 2020.
Tina was reportedly rushed to the nearest hospital and died just three days later.
Social media has been trending #justiceforTina, since the day of the shooting, protesters are protesting the police brutality in the country and demanding the policemen responsible be put behind bars.
The arrest of the two police officers was ordered by Hakeem Odumosu, the Lagos State commissioner for police after the incident occurred.
Bala Elkana, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer disclosed that they were investigating the conduct of Theophilus Otobo and Oguntoba Olamigoke and the Command has commenced disciplinary actions against both of them.
