Kenyans are currently protesting against police brutality in their nation. This protest is not happening only on the streets of the country but also on social media, Twitter.

On Monday night, Kenyan police shot and killed an unarmed homeless man for reportedly violating the curfew in Mathare, Nairobi, the country’s capital.

The video was shared on Twitter by Boniface Mwangi, a human rights activist.

Mwangi said that the locals in the area identified the dead man as a homeless man named, Vaite.

After Vaite’s killing, many Kenyans, about 300 of them, stormed the streets to protest police brutality ignoring the social distancing measures.

Vaite reportedly works as a loader in Marikiti market but sleeps on the streets at night.

By Tuesday morning, #JusticeforVaite had gone viral and is now trending on Twitter.
