The Federal High Court in Abuja has fixed June the fifteenth for the definite hearing of the suit filed by former Senator Dino Melaye, challenging the right of the National Assembly to legislate on the controversial Control of Infectious Diseases Bill 2020.

The matter was adjourned after counsel to Senator Melaye applied for adjournment saying that his client was served notices of preliminary objection and counter affidavits which is needed to respond to.

The presiding judge, Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu adjourned the matter to June the 15th after warning all parties to shun acts that will jeopardise the case already in court.
