Japan records 63 new cases of the pandemic disease as disclosed by the nation’s Health Ministry.

Twenty-one COVID-19 cases were recorded in Kitakyushu, in the Southern western Fukuoka Prefecture.

Japan now has 16,696 recorded cases of the pandemic, 13,973 recovered patients, and 869 death poll which includes those from a quarantined ship in Yokohama, a Japanese City.

On Monday, May 25, the nation’s Prime Minister, Shinzo Abe, eased the state of emergency which is followed by a jump in the number of cases in Kitakyushu, a city in Fukuoka Prefecture. 

The following jump in Coronavirus cases in the city, the health ministry sent a cluster response team to the city.

This was confirmed by Yoshihide Suga, Chief Cabinet Secretary. 

The number of COVID-19 cases in Tokyo, the country’s busy capital, is 5,195. Tokyo has the highest number of COVID-19 cases in Japan.

Osaka, Fukuoka, Kanagawa, Chiba, Hokkaido, and Saitama also make up Japan’s 16,696 cases.
