Chinyere Okoye, the Assistant Manager, News and Current Affairs of Nigerian Television Authority, NTA, has been abducted.
This news was confirmed by the broadcasting television network’s General Manager, Nwadi Elobuike.
She had gone missing after the close of work on Wednesday evening after supervising the 7 PM news bulletin.
Okoye was kidnapped in front of her house close to Obikabia junction where the kidnappers were already laying an ambush for her.
She was driven off in her car.
On Thursday morning, the kidnappers had called her husband demanding for a ransom to release the captive.
Okoye was just recently transferred to Aba. She worked with Enugu NTA Zonal Office before her transfer.
