Niger State Police Command has nabbed a gang of four men identified as Abdullahi Shaibu, Mustapha Mohammed, Lukman Moh’d, and Usman Umar.
They are notorious for snatching cars in the Gurara Local Government Area of Niger State.
In a signed statement by ASP Wasiu Abiodun, Niger State’s Police Public Relations Officer, the suspects were nabbed after a security man reported to the Gawu Babangida police division on Sunday.
The security man works at an Abuja Steel company where one of the suspects, Mustapha Mohammed, works too.
The security man reported a missing Mitsubishi L200 pick-up with Registration No KSF 395 XX.
According to him, Mustapha Mohammed who is a driver at the company is responsible for the missing car.
The Police, following report, arrested the suspects at Dantata in the Federal Capital Territory.
Abdullahi Shaibu, one of the men arrested, is the supposed buyer of the stolen car.
The Mitsubishi pickup has been recovered and the suspects would be charged to court.
