In a press conference that held on May 29, La Liga President, Javier Tebas, announced that the league will restart on June 11.
This comes after the Spanish Prime Minister gave the go-ahead for the league to restart on June 8.
La Liga had been suspended since March 12, as all teams instructed their players to self-isolate but maintain fitness.
The teams resumed group training last week but only 10 players are permitted to take part in open group sessions for now.
With a set date for the league to return, it is expected that contact training will resume as preparations for the league restart will intensify.
Fans will be delighted to see their favourite La Liga stars back in action as the Bundesliga has already started, while the EPL and Seria A have set dates to restart.
