Three Chinese citizens were murdered at the Chinese-owned Blue Star clothing factory in Zambia on Sunday, May 24.
This happened at the time there is a clampdown in Lusaka, Zambia’s capital.
Chinese businesses are reportedly discriminating against Zambia’s Citizens.
In the same breath, Chinese factory managers are accused of forcing employees to sleep days in the company in order to curb the spread of the pandemic disease.
Chinese Embassy in the country reacted and described the gruesome murder as a vicious act of violence.
Following this unfortunate incident, three suspects have been nabbed by the Zambian Police.
One of the nabbed suspects ran away to the city of Ndola which is north of Zambia’s capital. This was confirmed by Esther Katongo, Police spokeswoman.
As gathered from Zambian Police, the cause of the attack in the Makeni is uncertain.
Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa in recent weeks has been looking to shut down Chinese-owned businesses which include, salons and even restaurants, following reports of discrimination against Zambians.
The Mayor also posted several videos on his Facebook page showing his impromptu raid of these businesses.
One of the videos showed Mayor confronting Chinese managers and ordering them to allow their Zambian employees to return home.
