What started out as a regular arrest of a counterfeit bill crime and should have ended that way has turned out to be one of the most gruesome murder of yet another black man in the United States, this time in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
George Floyd was in a video that has now made the rounds on social media, seen pinned down with a knee to his trachea by a white officer in company with another officer in tow, despite being cuffed and lamenting that he couldn’t breathe.
The death of George Floyd has culminated into a violent protest rocking the Minneapolis as Black citizens refuse once more to accept the death of Floyd as another casualty. The unjust murder of black citizens within the United States, an anomaly that has become the norm unfortunately, has left many wondering on the justness of the laws in place and just how skewed it must be against the black community.
Although, all four officers involved in the unjust murder of George Floyds have been dismissed from office, as the FBI began a private investigation into the matter. The Minneapolis Mayor, Jacob Frey had also demanded that criminal charges are filed against those involved in the untimely death of Floyds.
Despite the arrest, it was not enough to quell the brimming anger of the black community in the Minneapolis who took to rampaging malls, clashing with police officers, burning down vehicles and buildings in the aftermath of Floyd’s death trying to curb the outrage, whilst many are still holding protests in notable areas within the community.

Several celebrities have also taken to various platforms to protest against the incessant and unjust killings of black people in the community, all saying there needs to be an end to the unfair murder of Black people under the guise of disobeying laws. Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian, Cardi B, LeBron James, Ava DuVernay amongst others
George Floyds is one of the many casualties to die so unfortunately to what can be termed now as a White Supremacy/Police Brutality syndrome as earlier this month, Ahmaud Arbery also suffered a similar fate for jogging on the streets of Georgia.
