Odion Ighalo, who is currently on loan at his boyhood club, now looks set to sign a loan extension to remain at Manchester United until the end of the current Premier League campaign.
In a recent interview, the 30-year-old Shanghai Shenhua striker’s agent confirmed that there are ongoing talks concerning his client’s loan extension deal to remain at Old Trafford for the current campaign.
He also stated that negotiations are also ongoing with his parent club Shanghai Shenhua.
The Chinese club has requested that Ighalo returns at the end of his current loan spell which ends on May 30, as the Chinese Super League season is set to start very soon.
It has been rumoured that Ighalo has been offered an improved contract which will earn him £400,00 every week.
However, Ighalo has boldly expressed his love for Manchester United and how he took a wage cut to represent the club he supported as a child.
He is determined to continue to play for them, score goals, and win trophies. Hopefully, his dreams will come true.
