Airports in India will swing open again on Monday, May 25. Following the shocking outbreak of Coronavirus in the nation, Airports in India were locked for two months.

Although reopening, things at the airport won’t run the same way as it used to before the risk of the pandemic disease.

At Indira Gandhi International Airport, passengers must check-in online before driving down to the Airport. And also before allowed entry into the Airport, they must scan their boarding passes.

Security queues leave enough space for passengers to physical distance. Passengers must go through a temperature screening station and properly fill a travel declaration form.

At the departure area also, there are marked spots on the floor to show passengers were to stand with their chairs spaced out.

Also while onboard, crew members on board are required to wear full-body personal protective equipment. Passengers are also required to put on their face masks.

Food won’t be served on the plane, but passengers are allowed to bring food (only dry food) on board like chips or crackers. Only one small piece of carry-on luggage is allowed by each passenger like laptops and purse.

India still has its borders closed to non-residents. While local flights are operated by airlines like Air India and SpiceJet.

To control prices, there are now price caps on tickets by the nation’s government.

India has 131,868 cases of the virus with 3,867 death poll.
