Naval Troops rescue Chinese vessel attacked by bandits

The Defence Headquarters says Naval Troops operating along the nation’s maritime waters successfully rescued a Chinese vessel attacked off the coast of Cote d’ivoire.

The Coordinator of the Defence Media operation Major General John Enenche says troops successfully arrested ten of the pirates after a fierce firefight While rescuing eighteen crew members.

General Enenche further added that other operations in the North East and North West also recorded similar success as almost thirty bandits and militias were neutralized while several others arrested with a cache of arms recovered
