Seeking a better life in Europe is a Trap! - Nana Akufo Addo warns Africans!

While many African Nations imposed lockdown measures to help curb the spread of the COVID 19 virus, Tanzania has continued to reject the idea.

The President of Tanzania, John Magufuli, voiced out recently that no total lockdown measures will be implemented in Tanzania as a measure to curb the spread of the COVID 19 virus.

He said that a lockdown measure would not help the nation instead it’s God that will help the nation. He said that Tanzanians should pray to God to help curb the spread of the virus in their country and also, the people needed to work hard to provide food because after the other East African countries have lifted the lockdown, they will need food and other supplies and as such Tanzanians need to be there to assist their neighbours in their time of need.

The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo, has implored Ghanaians to adjust and learn to live with the COVID 19 virus because the people need to get on with their lives and the economy needs to restart, he said.

In his address, he asked the people to be cautious and vigilant, they should be disciplined in the way they go about their daily lives.

He also encouraged the people to carry on with the other measures in place to help curb the spread of the virus. The people should continue with proper hygiene, washing of hands, using of hand sanitizers, wearing of face masks, maintaining physical distance, etc.

Unity Day, the holiday celebrated in Cameroon on the 20th of May annually since 1972 was cancelled as a result of the COVID 19 virus.

The lack of celebration did not seem to bother a lot of Cameroonians, in their opinion Cameroon is far from unified so there’s no reason to celebrate a Unity Day.

Cameroon’s Unity Day commemorates the adoption of the unitary state of French Cameroon and the British Cameron by the first president of Cameroon, Ahmadou Ahidjo.
