Osun State Micro Credit Agency awards farmers ₦5 million to encourage them

On Tuesday, 19th of May Osun state farmers were empowered by the Osun state Micro Credit Agency as part of the government’s efforts to revamp the state’s agricultural sector.

According to the agency, the state’s cassava farmers were the main beneficiaries of the empowerment. According to Mr. Dayo Babaranti, the General Manager of Osun Micro Credit Agency, the sum of 5 million Naira was issued to farmers within the States whose farms have been certified to motivate them.

He expressed his hopes that these allocated funds will help these farmers in providing the necessary inputs needed to meet up with the planting season.

Babaranti disclosed that the sum of 200,000 Naira was given to the members of the selected and accredited groups under the WAJEMCO Agricultural Food and Commercial Enterprises across Isokan and Irewole Local Government Areas for cassava planting.
