The wife of lieutenant General Donaldson Oladipo Diya, the former vice president of Nigeria, has died.
Chief Deborah Folashade Diya passed away at the age of 66.
According to the special adviser (media and strategy) to the lieutenant general Oladipo Diya, Olawale Adekoya, Mrs. Folashade Diya passed away on Monday, 18th of May 2020.
According to Adekoya, Mrs Folashade Diya was looking forward to celebrating our 66th birthday on Saturday, 23rd of May 2020. Unfortunately Mrs Diya fell sick and was taken to a hospital for treatment where she eventually passed away on Monday.
Lieutenant General Donaldson Oladipo Diya was the vice president of Nigeria under General Sani Abacha’s military regime as the Head of state of Nigeria from 1993 to 1997.
