Amotekun arrests 13 illegal miners in Osun State including Chinese men

Thirteen illegal miners have been arrested in Osun state, Nigeria by the Amotekun Security Corp yesterday, Monday 18th of May.

Of these thirteen illegal miners, nine were Chinese, three were Nigerians and one was Ghanaian.

The reports says that they were all arrested from four different illegal mining sites in the state by the Amotekun, along with the State Joint Task Force (JTF).

Comrade Amitolu Shittu, the director-general of the Amotekun security corp confirmed the arrest this morning, Tuesday 19th of May.

Shittu disclosed that the arrest was a result of a tip-off from undisclosed sources and the Amotekun will not rest until they rid the region of all illegal mining activities.

Shittu commended all the forces that collaborated with the Amotekun that made the operation successful, this includes; the State Joint Task Force (JTF), the Nigeria Immigration, DSS etc.
