The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, has asked researchers and scientists who are claiming to have found the cure for the COVID-19 virus to submit their drugs.
The Agency said with the submission, the drugs would undergo scientific validation and internationally recognised process of approval where they will go through pre-clinical or clinical trials.
Dr Sani Aliyu, the National Coordinator of the Presidential COVID-19 Task Force already disclosed that there is no vaccine or cure for the COVID-19 yet.
Professor Mojisola Adeyeye, the Director General of NAFDAC, said on Wednesday that there have been many false claims of the virus cure for traditional healers and alternative medicine practitioners.
She also encouraged the researchers and scientists to continue searching for the cure of the COVID-19 and submit them for testing by the NAFDAC.
